Scope and Description of Project (What)        
Text Box: Existing pavement would be pulverized and placed as additional base.  The prepared base would then be paved with a 4"-5" bituminous pavement.  We may also consider paving a portion of the gravel shoulders.  All cross culverts will be inspected and replaced as needed.  Intersection with CTH J will be reviewed and upgraded as required.  Between 45 - 50% of the project cost will be funded with State CHIP funds.
               
               
               
               
               
               
Justification of Project (Why)          
Text Box: The road was last paved in 1975.  The pavement is experiencing surface deterioration, cracking and rutting in the wheel paths.  There are a number of weak spots which have already been patched.  In 1996, the pavement received a rating of 5.0

Impact of not accepting project          
Text Box: Continue to patch.  Place a thin overlay over existing surface, this will not get the desired service life out of the pavement overlay.
