OPERATING AUTHORITY AND PURPOSE

Ridgewood Health Care Center is a 210-bed skilled nursing facility licensed by the State of Wisconsin Department of Health and Family Services to participate in the Medicaid and Medicare Programs. The purpose of Ridgewood Care Center is to provide skilled care to Racine County residents without regard to race, creed, national origin, sex, age, financial status or diagnosis. Residents who are court-ordered, protectively placed, diagnosed primarily with dementia or Alzheimer's Disease, chronically mentally ill or developmentally disabled are admitted on a priority basis. Other residents are admitted dependent upon bed availability.

OBJECTIVES

Maintain an average daily census of 205, 98% total capacity, while maintaining high level quality care standards as evidenced by our successful relicensing survey.

Increase the average Medicare patient days by 9%.

Implement the clinical software program, creating an electronic medical record.

Shorten the time it takes to check references and criminal background so not more than one week lapses before a job offer can be extended. This will help reduce overtime expenses.
