Pursuant to policy the Sheriff, at the discretion of the County Executive, reserves the right, through attrition, to replace Deputy positions with Correction Officers
                               
1     For salary purposes the Sheriff position has been placed on the mid-point Non Rep Grade 1    
       Res No. 99-81                                
2     Within the 2000 budget a Sergeant and an Investigator have been removed from the Welfare Fraud Unit.  
       The Sergeant position will be moved into administration in charge of communications and the   
       Investigator is moving to Warrants.                          
3     Elimination of 1 FTE Account Clerk II and creation of 1 FTE Payroll Technician Non Rep Grade 10  
       within the 2000 Budget.                              
4     Creation of 1 FTE Deputy represented position as of 9/1/00 Res No. 99-252          
5     1 FTE Deputy position created as a Sunset Position, Res No. 2000-246            
6     3 FTE Deputy positions created as a Sunset Positions within the 2002 Budget Res No. 2001-136   
7     1 FTE Deputy position created as a Sunset Position, Res No. 2001-167            
8     3 FTE Deputy positions created with in the 2003 Budget Res No. 2002-143          
9     Elimination of 3 FTE Deputy and 1 FTE Senior Clerk Typist and sharing of Administrative Assistant  
       Position with Emergency Management Office 1 FTE Dispatch position authorized but not funded  
       in the 2004 Budget  Elimination of 1 Deputy as of 3/1/04 - A Deputy will move from the Jail to the  
       Sheriff's Department when this occurs as a Correction Officer will be created          
10   Allows up to 28 additional Dispatchers to be added as contracts with Municipalities warrant.
